Accessibility Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2025
The website challenge.relativity.ro (the “Site”) is operated by the
Relativity Team – the robotics team of
Liceul Teoretic de Informatică „Alexandru Marghiloman” Buzău (the “Organiser”).
Hosting and technical infrastructure are provided by EssenByte Solutions (the “Technical Provider”).
We are committed to ensuring that the Site is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.
This Policy outlines our accessibility approach with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
Article 1 – Commitment
- We aim to provide equitable access to information about the Relativity Robotics Challenge, regardless of disability or technology.
- Accessibility, usability, and inclusion are integral to our design, content, and development lifecycle.
Article 2 – Standards and Guidelines
- Target conformance: WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Where feasible, we implement improvements aligned with WCAG 2.2.
- Perceivable: provide text alternatives for non-text content; support adaptable layouts without loss of information.
- Operable: ensure full keyboard operability; provide visible focus; avoid content that may trigger seizures; respect user motion preferences.
- Understandable: use clear language; maintain predictable navigation and consistent UI patterns; support error prevention and recovery.
- Robust: use semantic HTML and ARIA where appropriate so content works with a wide range of user agents and assistive technologies.
Article 3 – Measures Taken
- Semantic structure (landmarks, headings) and appropriate ARIA roles for complex widgets.
- Alternative text for images; captions and/or transcripts for videos where feasible.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls; logical focus order; skip-to-content links.
- Sufficient color contrast; support for user-controlled zoom without loss of functionality.
- Forms with associated labels, clear errors, and descriptive instructions.
- Regular audits using automated tools and manual checks; remediation tracked in our development workflow.
Article 4 – Known Limitations
- Third-party embeds (e.g., maps, external videos, registration widgets) may not fully meet our standards. We provide workarounds or alternative links where possible.
- Legacy PDFs or downloadable documents may not be fully accessible; updated accessible versions are prioritized during content refresh cycles.
Article 5 – Feedback and Contact
- If you encounter an accessibility barrier or require an alternative format, contact us at info@essenbyte.com.
- Please include: a description of the issue, the page URL, the browser/OS and any assistive technology used, and the format you need. We aim to respond within 10 business days.
Article 6 – Continuous Improvement
- We review and update this Policy periodically and integrate user feedback and new standards into our processes.
- Significant accessibility changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
Our objective is an inclusive experience for all visitors. If we fall short, tell us so we can fix it.
